On to a Corps of Engineers site, Ortana South Lock Camp on the Caloosahatchee Canal

This site is super clean and quiet. Our back door opens to a water/wildlife management area full

of birds and gators. The lock has boats

of all sizes going through on their way to Lake Okeechobee and some on to the Atlantic. Past the wildlife area is acres of orange groves. In the distance, we are surrounded by sugar cane fields.
