Six Glacier Hike!

We got up super early to see Lake Moraine. The lot often fills early, we arrived at 6:50 and lot was full already. Plan B: hike to 6 Glaciers from Lake Loraine. We parked there and hung out a bit because the clouds were so low, no mountains were visible. We took off about 8 am as the clouds were lifting from the lake. It was very steep and very pretty. The hike took us around the lake shore then up the mountain to a tea house and then on to the overlook of the glaciers. We started out at 40 degrees and within an hour had shed down to the 1st layer of clothes. The view was beautiful and we heard the glaciers calve several times. It sounds like a really low rumbling, really loud. We were not sure what is was at first.

We spoke to Megan at the tea house. These teens/young adults hike up and work 5 days and off 2. They hike up and back down every 5 days. All food is brought up by employees or helicopter. Sweet place!
