By the end of the afternoon, we clocked about 7miles. There are 500 trails near us now, so says my All trails app. Some of the trail heads were difficult to find. This trail was rated moderate but it was fairly technical. Lots of bouldering. The elevation change was about 1500 which is not too bad over a few miles. There was a large ‘hut’ for AP hikers near the lake at the top. We had hot chocolate and explored a bit. It began raining on the way down but we still took another trail down so we made ourselves a loop. That was pretty steep. It was a great hike over all and lots of pretty country.
